Seitan Pazar | Preveza

A number of traditional 19th century buildings influenced by Epirote and Ionian island architecture, can still be found in Preveza’s historical centre. The houses are characteristically neoclassical with graceful arched entryways, carved stones and intricate ironwork. The core of the historical centre of Preveza is Satan’s Bazaar, an alleyway with the atmosphere of an old marketplace, full of traditional shops, bars and ouzeries serving tasty seafood meze. The legend of how it got its name and the stories of the cobblestone alley can be found written up on signs. The house where poet Kostas Karyotakis lived is also in the district.
